New research actually suggests that dinosaurs were somewhat warm-blooded, with a body temperature nearly that of modern humans.

Just because they had a body temperature similar to humans doesn’t necessarily mean that they were like humans – “They could have been gigantotherms and stay warm because they were so large.” Either way, “if you walked up to a dinosaur, it would feel like a cow,” said John Eiler, a geologist and geochemist at Caltech and the study’s senior author.
